Beth in Her House! WEST PARIS – In May of 2009, the community of Oxford Hills got word of 24-year-old Beth Coffin, who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy and is confined to a wheelchair. Both parent, Gary and Bonnie suffer from chronic Lyme disease and much of their day is spent caring for Beth.
Parson's Road an ATV Battleground PARIS – Several property owners along Parson's Road came to Monday's selectboard meeting to strongly voice their opposition to ATV access to the road, which they say has lowered their property values and destroyed their quality of life.
Poland Mil Rate Stays the Same POLAND – Officials report that the mil rate for fiscal year ending 2011 will be the same as last year at $13.4 per $1,000 of property value.
Club Rowe Seeking Help for Modular Classroom NORWAY – Last Thursday, the board of selectmen turned down a $5,000 request from Clubrowe Day Care Director Stacey LaFlamme, who is attempting to raise funds to help the afterschool program move into a modular classroom without cutting services to 37 area students.
