Boys lose heartbreaker SOUTH PARIS - The Oxford Hills boys' varsity basketball team lost its game against Skowhegan by only one point.
Golf Classic raises money to fight cancer OXFORD HILLS - The 2009 Relay For Life of Oxford Hills recently received a generous donation from the Leon Truman - Oxford Hills Chamber Golf Classic. The group was humbled by this show of dedication to Fight Back against Cancer!
Volunteers needed to hand out ice skates NORWAY - The Norway Recreation Department wants to thank the efforts of the Norway Highway Department for setting up the ice rink and volunteers Bruce Fox and Nate Connell for flooding, surfacing and clearing the rink of snow. Also, thanks to New Balance Community Connection, volunteers have given the ice hut a fresh coat of paint and all the ice skates have been sharpened! The ice rink, located on Cottage Street, is open for the season! Lights are on until 10 p.m. every night the ice conditions allow.
Majorettes invite Twirlers to rally POLAND - Batons will be spinning on Saturday, January 17 as the Oxford Hills Majorettes kick off their competitive season at Team Rally 2009. Hosted this year by Paris Twirlers, the event brings together baton twirling teams from all over Central and Mid-coast Maine to debut new routines, attend instructional sessions, and compete in individual events.
